Generously deep curved balconies provide valuable sun shading while contrasting with adjacent orthogonal surfaces acting to create a composition rich in movement and chiaroscuro like the ever present sea.
The vertical division walls rise in counteraction to the horizontality of the balconies from the ground podium and extend into sculptural forms at roof level dividing the penthouse terraces.
Coloured in a river beige colour derived from the tracery of nearby tidal creeks and estuaries, composition is punctuated by open window patterns enhancing the form – suggestive of viewing & breezeways of the Queensland vernacular.
